INTRODUCTION
Please note that this guide is based on the information and features available in Wix at the time it was created.
Wix regularly updates its platform, which means that some options, setting names, or access paths may change over time. As a result, certain instructions may look slightly different or become outdated in the future.
When managing the website and its content, we strongly recommend extra caution in the areas listed below, as changes made here may affect website functionality, data integrity, or search engine visibility.
⚠️ Important warnings
SEO-related content
Content marked or prepared for SEO purposes should not be modified without consulting an SEO specialist. Even small text changes can negatively impact search engine rankings and page visibility.Editing the website layout in the Wix Editor
Making layout or structural changes in the Wix Editor without guidance may cause parts of the website to stop working correctly or lead to SEO issues if elements are removed, duplicated, or repositioned incorrectly.Removing installed apps
Deleting installed Wix apps (such as Bookings, Store, Forms, or third-party integrations) may result in:
loss of connected data,
broken functionality (e.g. booking, ordering, or contact forms),
missing sections or errors on the website.
In many cases, restoring full functionality after removing an app is not possible without technical intervention.Deleting CMS collections or CMS fields
CMS collections and their fields are often directly connected to pages, sections, filters, and dynamic content.
Removing a collection or even a single field may cause:
pages to display empty or broken content,
errors in dynamic pages,
loss of stored data that cannot be recovered.Changing field names or field types in CMS collections
Renaming CMS fields or changing their type (for example from text to number) may break existing connections and cause content to disappear from the website.Disconnecting datasets or dynamic page links
Disconnecting datasets or dynamic page connections may result in content no longer displaying correctly, even though the data still exists in the CMS.
This guide clearly indicates which areas are safe for everyday content updates and which elements should only be modified with professional or technical support.
